The targeted populations for student affairs staff are typically college or university students, who may include undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional students. Student affairs staff serve as forward-facing representatives of the larger higher education institution and are responsible for supporting and promoting the well-being, development, and academic success of students. This may involve providing a variety of services and support, such as advising, counseling, mentoring, and programming, to help students navigate their academic and personal experiences.
