For example, a client who believes in spiritual causes of illness may be more hesitant to discuss physical symptoms or may prioritize discussing their spiritual experiences over more concrete physical findings. As a result, it is important for the nurse to be aware of the client’s belief system and to adapt the assessment and interview process accordingly.
Culture can influence physical findings: Culture can also influence the physical findings that are reported by a client during an assessment interview.
