Question 1
Answer
Tim Gaoeglein realizes that he no longer has to keep his faith a secret. This is a lesson he learned from Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr and Ronald Reagan that his public life and religious life could be joined (Goeglein, 2019). As such, Tim Gaoeglein now understands that he doesn’t have to live two spate lifestyles, but he can live his normal life by combining the two aspects.
Question 2
Answer
Tim Goeglein highlights some issues to support his understanding that Washington had been a Christian. He notes that an individual cannot have liberty and freedom without acquiring moral excellence that comes from knowing God. He also believed that it’s very important for soldiers to maintain their spiritual lives (Goeglein, 2019).
Question 3
Answer
Tim Goeglein sites the attack on marriage as an institution as the first type of attack. According to the word of God, marriage exists as a union between man and woman. Unfortunately, today people have attempted to redefine the institution of marriage to make something of their imagination and not as intended by God (Goeglein, 2019). However, no government definition of marriage exists, which explains why the judicial system has attempted to come up with a new definition of marriage and also fight for equal rights in marriage (Goeglein, 2019).
Question 4
Answer
An attack on human life is the second form of attack described by Tim Goeglein. The scripture says that all human beings are created in God’s image. Despite this commandment, today, the Supreme Court redlines human life by making abortion legal, a factor that has led to more than 55 million abortions being made since 1973 (Liberty, 2017).
Question 5
Answer
The attack on individual rights to conscience and religious freedom is the third type of attack. The idea advanced is that rights are not given to man by the government, but they come from God. As such, nothing in existence should deprive human beings of this right. The other natural rights like life, property and liberty are also from God (Goeglein, 2019). However, gradually, these rights have been run over by other beliefs, a factor that has led to modern religious freedoms from dissipating. For example, when business owners are no longer in a position to deny services to anyone based on the services requested by the person because it violates their religious principle, it implies that the religious freedom of the owner becomes jeopardized (Goeglein, 2019). Such a situation implies that as a nation, we are gradually becoming fearful of making known of our beliefs because we are scared of public persecution or legal sanctions. As Christians, we should not allow this trend to continue anymore.

Question 6
Answer
According to Tim Goeglein, amidst these attacks, the work of a Christian should not involve Christianizing the nation; instead, they should be of service, as well as engaging on all levels, media, policy and government (Goeglein, 2019). Tim Goeglein also encourages Christians to be plausible and engage with individuals and the system working hard to dismantle Christianity (Goeglein, 2019). Moreover, Goeglein adds that Christians should never be ashamed for what they believe in or why they believe in it.
