Describe four specific psychosocial factors that should be taken into account in order to understand the psychosocial context when working with the group you selected

Identify and explain how you would apply a psychosocial intervention that addresses one of the four specific psychosocial factors you described above.

Identify one advantage of using a psychosocial framework in social work practice with the group you chose.
There are many things that make it hard for immigrants to fit into American culture and have the same opportunities. Depression, lack of motivation, socioeconomic status, and system politics like discrimination are all psychosocial factors that should be taken into account. These are some basic ideas that will help you understand how immigrants are affected by psychosocial factors. A person who moved to another country to live there permanently is called an immigrant. Most of the time, immigrants don’t have the same access to resources that can help improve their lives as people born in the U.S. Living in poverty is linked to worse physical health, less success in school, and a higher risk of serious emotional and behavioral problems in childhood and mental health problems as an adult (Mendoza et al, 2017)
Find a psychosocial intervention that addresses one of the four specific psychosocial factors you listed above and explain how you would use it.
To do psychosocial intervention well, you need to know about immigrants’ situations and the things that make it hard for them to get the best care. Especially how psychosocial factors affect how people grow and change in the future. It’s important to think about the fact that immigrants come from many different countries with different cultures. So, knowing about other cultures and having humility would be important for this intervention. In this case, one of the most important ways to improve the mental health of this group would be to work with the Latino culture as it relates to poverty. Children from poor families are more likely to have behavior problems because they are more likely to be exposed to a number of physical and psychological risks (Mendoza et al, 2017). Strong case management gives them the tools they need to improve their living conditions, which will make them less depressed and more motivated. Immigrants, especially children with developmental problems, are more likely to have psychological and social problems if they live in poverty for a long time.
Choose one benefit of using a psychosocial framework when doing social work with the group you chose.
One benefit of using a psychosocial framework in social work practice with immigrants is that health and its relationship to the system perspective are in line with the social work practice. Overall, it would be best to know how living in poverty affects a person’s ability to think and how it makes life better. The systems perspective encourages medical and allied health professionals, like social workers, to see and respond to the many systems that affect an individual’s health and well-being. (Healy, 2016)
One measurable result could be that LGBT students are less likely to be victimized, harassed, or treated badly at school. Students will say they feel safe and supported at school if they talk to counselors and peer support groups about their problems. This will lower the number of students who commit suicide. Also, the psychosocial theory will help therapists understand their clients better by letting them look at the psychological and social things they go through. A psychosocial framework helps a therapist learn more about the psychological and social factors that affect people from different groups. Let’s say that LGBTQ people are afraid to talk about things with their parents or family. In this case, their suggestions for coping, such as community support groups, drop-in centers, street outreach programs, and LGBTQ housing programs, can be used to help clients build their intrapersonal skills.
