Week 4 Poster Project

For this scenario, imagine you are interning at a local physical therapist’s office. Mrs. Smith, your supervisor, has asked you to create a total of three basic posters for the office. You will need to create posters on the elbow, the wrist, and the hand. In order to make your posters visually appealing and informative for patients, Mrs. Smith would like for you to incorporate pictures, tables, diagrams, or other visuals. She has asked you to be creative in the design and the selection of visuals.
In your assignment,
• Create three posters.
• Identify the structure, prime movers, and anatomical relationships for each joint: the elbow, wrist joint, and the hand.
• Show each joint on its own poster page or slide. (You will have one poster for the elbow, one for the wrist, and one for the hand.)
Use your course text and at least two additional scholarly or credible resources to support your work. For help with your sources, refer to the Scholarly, Peer-Reviewed, and Other Credible Sources (Links to an external site.) table and the University of Arizona Global Campus Library Quick n’ Dirty how each joint has its own page or slide on the poster. All sources and images used must be cited and referenced according to Help write my thesis – APA Style, as outlined in the Writing Center (see Tables, Images, & Appendices (Links to an external site.) for assistance).
Regarding visuals, avoid overloading patients with too much written information, and refrain from including long paragraphs—use bullets points and images instead. Wikimedia Commons (Links to an external site.)and 123RF (Links to an external site.) are a few options for copyright-free images.
You may choose to create your posters in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Canva’s Custom Posters Made Easy With Canva’s Poster Maker (Links to an external site.), or another format of your choice.
